Larry J. Radford, 66

He was a son of the late Donald E. and Annie Robinson Radford. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Radford. He graduated from North Buncombe High School in 1961. He was employed by Sayles Biltmore Bleacheries for 28 years and then GE for more than 16 years. He was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church, where he also attended the New Life Sunday school class.
Survivors include his loving wife of more than 25 years, Pattie Medlin Radford; two daughters, Evet Radford Trantham and husband, Joe, of Weaverville, Tammy Jan Bradley of Flat Rock; a stepdaughter, Alicia Whiteside Hearne and husband, Greg, of Flat Rock; a brother, Horace Radford of Weaverville, formerly of Grand Junction, Colo.; three sisters, Joyce Hensley and husband, Bill, Glenna Chandler and husband, John, Linda Laws and husband, Leonard, all of Weaverville; three grandchildren, Scott Lytle, Kristie Lytle and Jake Bradley; former son-in-law, Wade Bradley; along with several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Mud Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Greg T. Mathis and the Rev. Cory Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends at the church an hour before the service and at other times will be at the residence.
