Mary L. McCall, 67, of Dana passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at her home following a lengthy illness.
A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Jessie Bell Beddingfield. She was a member of Green River Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Alton McCall; two sons, Ricky McCall and his wife, Carol, of Dana; Frank McCall of Atlanta; three daughters, Lynn Rollins and her husband, Eldon, of Zirconia, Rhonda McCall of Hendersonville, and Rene Godman and her husband, Danny, of East Flat Rock; a brother; six sisters; eight grandchildren, Allison, Dylan, Candace, Seth, Shalee, Brandon, Caleb, Gabrielle; six great-grandchildren, Maddox, Sawyer, Olivia, Kilei, Cane, Cadence; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Green River Baptist Church. The Rev. Stuart McCall will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
Forest Lawn Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Carolyn Seelbinder, 77
Carolyn Blossom Seelbinder, 77, of Flat Rock passed away Sunday afternoon, July13, 2008, at Pardee Hospital.
A native of Brockport, N.Y., she had been a prior resident of Penfield, N.Y., and Upper Saranac Lake, N.Y., before moving to Flat Rock in 1995. She was the daughter of the late Warren and Louise Cunningham Blossom and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Louise Seelbinder. She received her bachelor's degree in education from New York State University and was employed as an elementary school teacher.
She is survived by her husband, David C. Seelbinder of Flat Rock; two sons, John D. Seelbinder of Rochester, N.Y., and Mark W. Seelbinder and his wife, Ellen, of Spencerport, N.Y.; two brothers, Rodney W. Blossom and his wife, Trudy, of Logan, Utah, and Jerome P. Blossom and his wife, Karen, of West Melbourne, Fla. Services will be held at a later date at White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, N.Y.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors.
